Robbin's Fund
Robbin Lund has been chosen as a recipient for our 2nd Annual July 4th 5k/10k Run!
Robbin Lund is an AMAZING mom, friend, teacher, daughter, sister and aunt. In her 25 years of teaching in Oak Park, she has taught and inspired countless lives - kids and their families alike. Robbin is the Kindergarten teacher who is well-loved and remembered by all!
Robbin’s life was forever changed on April 1, 2019 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her back, neck, hip and femur. Robbin has already had aggressive back surgery to remove the larger tumors and stabilize her spine with various hardware. She has also undergone radiation for her back, neck, hip and femur. Robbin is responding well to treatment and her doctors are very optimistic the she will continue to do so, however she will be on a continuous regimen of drug therapies indefinitely as she battles this disease.
Anyone who knows Robbin knows that she is strong, positive, funny, caring, passionate, giving and fiercely loyal. Robbin and her two teenage sons are a tight knit family. Being a widow for more than 10 years, Robbin has been a super hero parent for her boys in every way.
Robbin has contributed generously, selflessly and endlessly to her family and the community...let’s support Robbin!
